Several years ago I wrote an article entitled, "Criminals ALWAYS Have Guns" http://daveemanuel.org/criminals-always-have-guns . That's a fact that gun control proponents the world over choose to ignore. Apparently, as your article points out, when society is viewed through the rose colored glasses worn by all too many government officials, only two categories of people should have guns- law enforcement and criminals.
As a Canadian I must confirm you are spot on, Chuck. My country has become a parody of itself. We aren't all sheep, though for those of us who can still think for ourselves and see through theatrics it lonely and demoralizing. Did you hear about the librarian in Ontario who got fired for writing an article that clearly stated that Libraries should collect books with diverse Ideas! Not just diverse 'identities?' We are steadily being marched towards Khmer Rouge territory and far too few seem to notice or care. Thanks for writing this!
We now live in a Bizarro world, where criminals are catered to while the law abiding are dissuaded from defending themselves and their hard earned possessions; where criminals can access firearms illegally while the law abiding cannot do so legally; where immigrants, often illegal, are given a free pass for activities while citizens are punished.
