I forgot say that the post is very well written and on point. Apologies. Triggered!

Overcoming Idiocracy relies on a commitment to Truth. As opposed to Lies and Propaganda. Particularly on social media, when a person is affected by a meme or something posted they must ask themselves: but is this true?

Idiocrasy is already here. And thriving. As I’ve heard someone say recently, we simply do not have the language to describe what our society is going through, and has been doing so, for the last 20- 30 years.

The amount of people that have grown up in these last few decades that are convinced that life is about grabbing as big a slice of the material pie for yourself, that people are a cancer upon the earth, so no children, and that we came from apes, and will die and that’s it, .. cos if science can’t measure it it doesn’t exist.. Fact!… is frightening. Both candidates showed just how absurd the political landscape has become..and Europe is no different. Worse, actually, in some countries, hard as that is to imagine.

Grassroots organisation is our only hope going forward against the global capitalist system that holds sway over our lives, all the while consolidating its power.

And people need to start reading books for crying out loud. History, fiction. Everything and anything . Read what “ the other side’ is reading and writing. Know thyself. And, yeah, know thine enemy. They are not who we are led to believe.

Now I have to watch that movie.

Thanks.

First watched Idiocracy over a decade ago and got a kick out of it. Now it's just too close to reality.

But President Commancho's entrance is the best! LOL! (It's got electrolytes!)
