When we industrialized the raising of animals and framing, I think it inevitably spilled over to humans. We just don't realize it like the proverbial frog with the water turned up trope. Humans became another natural resource to be exploited. Obviously humans have always been exploited but we are doing it on a massive scale. Covid unleashed the worst crime. We not only locked children up which was unhealthy, we then forced injections they didn't need for the 'benefit of adults.' Societies that sacrifice the young for the benefit of the old cannot sustain itself.
"As a nation, we are not getting healthier, we are getting sicker. The next generation of American children is predicted to not outlive their parents for the first time in history." This is going to be especially clear as children who were given puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones that turn their natural body's functioning upside down, will begin to suffer from the adverse effects of those drugs and all the other drugs they must take to mitigate messing with their endocrine system.
I’ve personally tested many of the habits Peter Attia recommends in Outlive — like building strength, and monitoring key health markers over time — and they've made a measurable difference in my life.
However, like you, I see how misleading diet advice, food industry interests, and the obsession with quick fixes often undermine real health progress.
As an Italian, I shared my reflections, including direct experiments and where I agree (or disagree) with Attia, here: https://occhipervedere.com/2025/04/28/peter-attia-outlive/ — might offer another practical perspective on this broader issue.
That violation tracker is staggering. I had no idea it was that much, or that common, let alone that someone compiled a database.
That's an average of nearly $5B in fines annually and yet they're still pumping out ads on my TV faster than I can count. Meanwhile, I can't even get reimbursed enough from insurance for counseling services to pay my employees adequately.
I can't imagine any human being disagreeing with anything you've outlined here, but sadly people continue to make this a political issue to sabotage any movement forward in the right direction.
Physical health these days follows and requires psychological health. If a person is neurotic, hopeless, and unmotivated, then the chance that they will take good care of themselves is very low.
This is bigger than diet, outdoor time, medication, or activity (although those are all aspects of the problem). The real issue is cultural.

Important topic.

I am truly agape.
