Biden / continuing on this path just isn’t an option … so it is clear what needs to happen.

I've been surprised too many times in the last several years not to have a certain eagerness about seeing how this particular chapter turns out.

He needs to ask his wife whether uncontrolled migration, pushing for war and possible nuclear disaster is also part of her core values.

Look at how things were under Trump, and how they are under senile Biden, and there’s just no comparison.

There is a very good reason the ballot box is for you alone. How you process your commitments to the things you value is for you to decide. Tell others about the things you cherish - let them guess how you vote.

That's just how I feel, except I extend that to my family room, my kitchen... These are private spaces.

Yes, there’s a good reason the ballot box is private, but ffs: A man shouldn’t have to pussyfoot about who he’s voting for in his own goddamn house.

If someone had told you 20 years ago that the cultural Marxists would create an atmosphere where a husband can’t tell his wife who’ll he’ll vote for without fear of consequences, you’d be out burning buildings and turning over cars.

Yet we’ve been gaslit and slowly exposed to this, to the point where this isn’t just acceptable but normal.

The long-term propaganda campaign has been startlingly effective. Counteracting it inside the house (and in the culture of the home) is a big part of the project.

When we got together, my wife was on Team Blue by default because that was “normal” where we lived. I’ve always been a contrarian and 3rd party voter. We have spirited discussions about politics, but we always try to listen and respect each other.

She’s shifted a lot of her views, and I’ve become less of a blowhard in how I express mine. It’s good to keep in mind that federal politics has very little impact on our daily lives, and you’re much better off giving your energy to your marriage, family, or community.

100%. You're describing both my experience and my conclusions.

Well, it may take some conversation, but over time I believe she may see your dissent as a positive. Jesus said we are to be a light unto the world. Even if you don’t believe in Him, taking his message of being a light to her and those around you will make them consider a new world view.

Constancy and steadiness is part of the challenge for sure.

Trump is just about as far from Jesus as morally possible.

Lol. We're talking about my house, not the White House.

I wasn’t saying he was Jesus. I was saying use Jesus’ teachings. But if you want Jesus to be represented by politics, a president that preaches abortion is farther from Jesus than trump.

It could be worse: As far from Jesus as possible would be Biden.

Which is beside the point: We’re voting for president. Not for who to follow as a moral example.

My husband and I have very different views politically, and have voted differently in almost every election. But we are on the same team this year. It cannot go on like it has been. And many of our blue friends agree. ( and you can still be friends and love those who have different political views. There’s plenty of other things you can agree on. People really need to stop being assholes and try it ).

100%. The trick, imho, are those other things you can agree on. For spouses, the challenge is to not let all the energy and urgency of political topics obscure the quieter but exponentially (like, not even in the same universe) more important bonds having to do with the kids, the home, and each other. The fundamentals. Bc those fundamentals are what everything's built on, we can forget they're there. Challenging political times are an opportunity to rediscover and reprioritize them.

That’s why many people are waking up. The far left has dragged the culture wars into our homes and bedrooms.

I have relatives in Israel, where the wife is a hard left peace enthusiast, and the husband is voting far right and would like nothing better than to kick every Arab out.

They’ve been married for decades because they love each other and respect the others right to a different opinion. (And don’t talk politics in the house.)

I’d suggest showing your wife examples of Mexicans and Blacks voting Trump.

But don’t push it too hard.

Thanks. "Don't push too hard" is right. It's a long game for sure. And in that longer frame, it's turning out to be a positive influence.

“Core values” Lol! That’s why they fought so hard to smear Trump: Literally the most milquetoast of conservatives as some dangerous hate spewing radical, despite the fact that the most radical thing Trump ever did was to suggest that maybe tearing down statues isn’t cool.

Good luck to ya buddy!

I wouldn't want to be married to a man who's been inciting violence against the judges and jurors of his trials. You're probably lucky she didn't file for divorce.

Way to miss the point of the entire article.

I doubt that. And these sham trials are going to be Biden’s lost election, unless of course they print up enough ballots.

Welp, there’s an NPC who didn’t miss any of the 2024 updates. I hope for your employer that you’re as diligent at work, as you are with keeping up with the latest talking points pushed by CNN/Pravda.

My friends, have you not seen any of the footage of Trump and his cult followers threatening everyone involved in his trial? Why deny it? Making threats is a sign of being a tough guy and being a "real man", so you should step up and own it!

Lol! “CNN said they said mean things on Twitter! Those judges must be very scared!”

Please list the number of “threats” that live up to judicial definition of an immediate clear and present danger.

Please list the number of cases in which anyone took active measures to harm the judge in the (sham) trial.

The number of course is zero.

Funny how the news media you download your talking points from, didn’t invest even a fraction of the outrage from Trump supposedly threatening judges, into the very real danger on our judiciary when SCOTUS made an abortion ruling the far left didn’t like.

Unlike the judge in Trumps trial, there was a real attempt at their lives, along with constant and very real physical harassment.

You'd just say they were deepfakes, so I won't bother. But you know what? You guys should totally march on the capitol again. I bet this time it would go better! You should definitely try it! :)

Sure! The Capitol Rally was a great eye opener. The cognitive dissonance between watching the very same news media that tried to defend burning down businesses in the ‘22 Summer of love, suddenly shit their pants and pretend that a political rally was some dangerous threat against MUH DEMOCRACY! made many people wake up.
