I realized something was amiss when dissenting voices, such as Dr. Ladapo, vanished from the local paper by the spring of 2020. I later learned that Dr. Ladapo met with other physicians to discuss the disastrous policies rolled out in LA. They had to do so in secret while an unqualified social worker ran the city's policies. I became radicalized researching how the Jacobson v. Massachusetts decision was later used. Like the fruit of the poisonous tree concept, bad decisions usually lead to more bad decisions. This one was a doozy. It was used to justify the forced sterilization of a poor white woman. The renowned jurist, Justice Holmes, pontificated that if the State could force a vax, they could cut fallopian tubes. The concept of Eugenics jumped from US shores to Germany where it found fertile ground starting in the 1920s and culminating under the Third Reich.
The you can't yell fire in a theatre trope used to justify censorship? That was written by Holmes as well. It was used to justify the imprisonment of socialist handing out leaflets against WWI. Holmes would later join in overturning that decision. It took me five minutes to uncover the truth of both statements being pushed as propaganda. That means CNN, the ACLU, etc. knew the same thing as me. Then we had a government propaganda push the horse paste theory even though ivermectin was a Nobel prize winning medicine. Anytime I hear we are a Democracy, it puts fear in me. We are a Republic. A Republic that has a Constitution to protect the individual. Democracies easily fall into mob rule.

You are correct--the propaganda was off the charts. Any dissenting opinions (i.e., deviating from the CDC dictates) on social media such as YouTube, Facebook, and Twitter were removed and, in some cases, users were barred from the platform.
Where do you live that you had such a relatively sane environment?
Other side of the world from the US. I'm not saying it was totally sane. There were restrictions for the unvaxxed as to what kind of buildings, venues you could enter (i.e. restaurants, malls, etc) & also mask requirement. But there was no stiff policing of that other than sometimes ridiculously trying to catch someone on a hike not wearing a mask! I'm talking about the population. This is seen even after covid. Some people do still wear masks, most don't; but it's a personal choice and no one really cares if you do or don't.

I took the vaccine as I was post MI, and there seemed to be some evidence that it helped prevent long COVID. I still got the virus twice, neither time being more than a bad two day cough. The rush to immunize children, pregnant women,and young people was unconscionable, and THEY KNEW IT.
But how could you have gotten Covid, since President Biden, Rachel Maddow, and the ladies on The View assured us that, "if you get the jab, you can't get Covid"? 😎
