The irony of the DEI movement is that it’s creating the very boogeyman it’s been rallying against, as more white people begin to push back by standing up for their “whiteness,” instead of treating these charlatans as bigots and pushing against racism in any form.

Thanks for reading Lucy!

I agree. I can't think of a better way to divide people than by demanding that we judge people based on skin color. I fear that society is headed for real trouble if we don't put an end to DEI very soon.

Sorry for the late reply.

This is very similar to what Bettina Arndt writes about in the gender area and war against men. It is worse than McCarthyism because there is a lot of money linked to it. My dad was a dean at a graduate school of social work. I think it was the late 80s when 'victimhood' started bringing in a lot of money. My sister-in-law works for a fed agency very important to US financial security She is ready to quit because a qualified white male keeps getting overlooked and very unqualified black women keep getting open positions. It is beyond ironic that it is the theories of white males (Frankfurt School and ilk) who created a structure to take down our society. So our founding fathers are to be dismissed because they were white males, but white males that formulated this are to be followed.

Thanks for reading K.E. I tend to prefer the "stupidity not malevolence" approach to analyzing these situations. That said, it's hard to imagine how you'd design something worse than DEI if your intent was to divide people.

When I explain some of the concepts from Post-Modernists and Neo-Marxists to a friend, she often responds, "It really sounds like wanking." I couldn't agree with her more; unfortunately, it has real results for society.
