I made similar points in an article scheduled for 11/6, and have in many other posts as well. This apparent contemporary need to win at all costs - ignoring any candidate shortcomings INCLUDING criminality, sexual malfeasance, policy mistakes which were obvious to anyone with eyes before they were even instituted, et.al. - has shrunken our claim to the moral high ground, and our respect from the rest of the world.
Nobody cares about corruption anymore - as long as its their side that's being corrupt.
