Girls and women need to be safe. A 14 year old girl was raped a couple of days ago by another Venezuelan in the country illegally. Bad enough we have to worry about that with the children.
You live in Canada, but I don't know if you're originally from the US. I'm not from N America nor live there. But like you, I'm optimistic. What happens in the US does affect the rest of the world, and plus I have family/friends in the US. I liked the way you presented everything before ending on the final note of your optimism. Nice.
