Abortion: The Lies, the Myths, and the Truth Photograph by Chip Somodevilla / Getty At the beginning of November, Ohioans passed a bill to amend their state constitution regarding abortion and “gender-affirming care”. It is the abortion aspect of this that we’re going to focus on in this article because there was so much abortion misinformation and propaganda behind that bill, and abortion in general. Ohio laws already included exceptions that would allow an abortion if the life of the mother is in danger, which is nearly a nonexistent situation, or if the mother would suffer irreversible physical harm. The amendment used unclear and ambiguous language that could open the door to abortion, at any time during a pregnancy for any reason, and if a doctor is willing to agree the mother's health may be harmed, up to and including mental health. Before passing this amendment, Ohio law did not allow mental health to be a determining factor to allow an abortion for an otherwise healthy pregnancy.
I was disappointed that the family of RBG didn't refute those who chanted in her name. RGB believed that Roe was incorrectly decided because it involved a medical procedure and that was the province of the states - not the federal government. Had she lived, I assume she would have voted for the Dobs' decision returning the issue to the states to work its way through the system in a constitutional manner. That she and Scalia were besties shows what life looked like before the polarization. On a different issue, when Black ministers complained genocide was happening because of the large number of abortion clinics located in their community, like an ignorant fool, I thought they were Neanderthal kooks. I then actually listened to their reasoning so I now appreciate their point instead of dismissing it. The image of a Black woman doing a mock pulling of a baby doll out of her groin area was seared in my head. What would drive a woman to do that unless she was fully indoctrinated with Neo-Marxist rhetoric formulated by white men.
Women have the power to create life. It's their power alone, after the key is put in the ignition. It's their choice whether to exercise that power. Deal with it.
Men have always sought to control that power, because it is so great. They try to treat women like incubators. They try to act like a part of a woman's body is a separate entity. It's not.
There is no new life until the woman is done making it. And she decides when she's done. Not you. Not anyone else.
To treat abortion as merely an issue of power seems fitting in the oppressor/oppressed reductive environment we all seem to be obsessed with these days.
The life of a thinking, breathing human being trumps the life of a potential human being with a central nervous system too underdeveloped to be conscious.
And how does this truth get out to the public and MSM?
Just keep sharing it!

Thank you for this very thoughtful and informative piece.

Thank you for this.
Personally I feel that it is the mother's choice. But that has to be an informed choice.
