American courts are notorious for releasing dangerous people back out into the public.
I think if you checked, you'd find that most violent crimes are committed by people who were supposed to still be in prison.
Canadian courts are doing the same thing. I think the same thing is happening in the UK.
It's a case of "being nice" prioritizing the wrong people.
Governments can't seem to find a balance between throwing away the key and letting violent criminals walk the street.
