The Power of Words: How Language is Manipulated and How We Must Fight It

Language is one of the most important ways for all humans to communicate. And one of the ways in which we humans are different from all living things. We have the written word. There are countless languages spoken in various countries and cultures around the world. Although there are many different customs and cultures, there are some universal concepts we all know even without understanding the culture. The existence of men and women, family, survival needs, and many different rites such as celebrations of birth, marriage, cultural holidays, and funerals.

Throughout human history, across languages, cultures, and even time itself we’ve known these truths. They have united us in our shared humanity. They remind us that no matter how different we are, we all have these same things in common. Even the cavemen will have known many of these concepts. There is even a universal word, ‘mama’. The baby word for mother, mama is similar across cultures, languages, and times. Because of how babies learn to speak, the Mmm sound is one of the first sounds they make. So some variation of mama has always been used to refer to moms. 

But despite having a long history of shared cultural concepts across time and space, there is a new political movement to deny, subvert, and change many of these timeless concepts and words. Adherents of postmodernism (wokeism) are pushing to make sweeping cultural changes to ways of thinking we have known since the dawn of time for their own bizarre political agenda.

The family unit which is centered around men and women uniting to produce children, the concepts of mother and father, and even the concept of men and women itself are under attack from the radical left. We can only pray the concept of child and adult is not up for debate next, yet that appears to be the trajectory they are taking. Under the promise of ‘dismantling norms’ or ‘queering society’, so-called progressives hope to undo hundreds of thousands of years of social and cultural norms overnight, apparently just because predominantly, white, college educated progressives said so!
