How is the polling in Canada? There was polling in the US that said Harris was winning. Come to find out it was dishonest polling after the fact like most liberal leaning things.
After trailing the Conservatives for about 2 and a half years, most of the polls now show the Liberals in the lead. It's very disheartening.
How is it from a believability standpoint. I have no idea. Most people seem to trust it and I have no reason not to (other than the normal "don't trust the media" standpoint). If anything, some voices on the left didn't trust the polls 6 months ago but do now while many conservative voices trusted it 6 months ago but don't now.
Many seem to hold the opinion that you should believe the polls that give you the news you want to hear.
That sounds about the same as polling here. Me personally I don't really pay much attention to it. If I was to pay attention, then I would feel obligated to see who was funding the polling and things like that. I don't want to spend my time doing that so, I don't. I think polling has become politically motivated and not an honest example of the populations feeling. Pollsters will choose who they want to hear from to get the result they want. It is sad when they want to try to change outcomes of elections and things like that though by trying to influence the public.
Canada seems to have lot more in common with California then just the first two letters of their names. Both implemented harsh fascist Covid mandates, but with the banking freeze, Canada won the prize. But like a magic spell, it is as if none of those measures ever occurred. It is all about Trump, again. Stupid is as stupid does.
I don't know that Trump has a guy. Honestly, I don't think he cares who wins, he has a plan and he'll stick to it. Well, I assume he has a plan. It seems to change frequently.
One thing about the tariffs issue that I don’t understand. Why doesn’t Canada simply call Trump’s bluff and offer to eliminate all tariffs on US exports if the US does likewise? What’s wrong with totally free trade between our two countries?
As I understand it some tariffs, in both Canada and the US, are political in nature (ex. many tariffs related to agriculture). This is why in many free trade agreements there are still tariffs on some goods.
Why doesn't the government cancel the tariffs it has? Because they think they need them to stay in power.
It's nice to know that Americans are not the only people who can be fooled by a mass media propaganda campaign. At least your Liberals picked someone who can string a few phrases together without giggling and I have yet to hear of a Liberal message telling you to "Feel the joy!"
It's more like "Poilievre is a Trump puppet!" and "Orange Man Bad!"
Your Liberals are WEF drones, your Greens and NDP are irrelevant, and I honestly don't know what to think of your Conservatives. I refused to vote for any of the choices I was allowed last year in the States. Are there Canadians who feel the same way?
Probably a few feel as you do. I think there are probably many voting for anyone but the Liberals. The problem is that there seem to be even more voting for anyone but the Conservatives.
It's looking more and more likely that Canada will vote to extend the lost decade another 4 years.
Trump better get it together. Unless he believes that by making himself so unpopular in Canada , the Canadians will tie it to Carney and vote for Poliviere ( which is a waaayy stretch), he appears to be cheering for the most destructive , totalitarian globalist WEF/UN Commissar to usher in the Brave New World. Klaus Schwab , in his own words stated ,” We ( WEF) successfully penetrate ( globally) cabinets”. “
“Half of Trudeau’s cabinet are WEF.. Young Global Leaders”
“ It’s true in Argentina and France now”
Schwab got an unexpected sucker punch when Milei seemingly appeared as if by magic and swept the election. Nobody saw it coming- and then took to the stage at DAVOS and SHREDDED the bastards, quite eloquently.
Poliviere won my heart by taking on two issues. The first was his unambiguous , uncoaxed edict to rid Canada of any IRSG agents or influence ( Iran regime ).
The second was banning WEF YGLs and affiliates from any and all government positions or federal employ in his admin or under his leadership.
Unfortunately, Canada’s parliamentary system doesn’t allow for him to act unilaterally and ban the WEF from the entirety.
That said, I truly have no idea where Trump is coming from or why he didn’t wait until Canada held the election to pick a fight. Chances are, Poliviere would have won and there wouldn’t be a “war” , but an equitable agreement.
Trump doesn't care who wins in Canada because he doesn't care about Canada.
His tariffs are aimed at helping the US. The plan is based on economic ignorance that will ultimately hurt the consumer, but that's the result, not the goal.
The rights of female citizens ... to not have males on our sports podiums, or prison cells likely isn't even mentioned. That's labeled "fringe" along with parents who want to protect their kids from the gender ideology cult.
If either of those concerns were even listed I might have hope for Canada. Sadly we are governed by sheeple who refuse to understand reality.

I hope it's politically motivated as it means the Liberals might not win the upcoming election. I just don't know though.

Thanks for this insightful post... Canada may be lost.
It's not good but I don't think we're there yet.

Polls favor Carney EVEN THOUGH he’s Trump’s Guy. So many retarded people in this “country!”

Thanks for the comment Dave!

Instead of fighting Trump, deal with him. Lower the tariffs on goods imported from the U.S. Free trade is a tide that lifts all boats.
You mean follow the USMCA agreement that Trump negotiated, called the greatest trade agreement of all time, and is now breaking?
