Our objective at Wrong Speak is to encourage regular people to use writing as a form of expression and be unafraid in doing so.

Farahn Morgan

Farahn Morgan is a digital creator and writer living in Southwest Virginia and Eastern Kentucky. She spent 8 years in Washington, DC working in publicity and crisis communications before returning home to the Blue Ridge Mountains in 2019. Her primary interests include the politics of place, creation and culture, oral traditions, and class biases. She spends her free time hiking and working in her garden.

While we are a free-expression platform, we want to also encourage people to talk about more topical events. We created a “Wrong Speak Pitches” mailing list, which we are opening for the public, and we will send out requests for pitches on particular events happening in the news.

Each request will involve an ending date for pitch acceptances, a financial reward dollar amount (if there is one being offered) and the person who provides the best pitch wins.

Many of you have expressed interest in writing for larger publications and a major part of that is sending out pitches to convince the editor that your article is the best one of the many. Get some practice with us and potentially win some money along the way.
