There are certainly a number of representatives in the House, who are a couple of french fries short of a Happy Meal, but most of them don't work as hard as AOC to prove their lack of intelligence. For that, she deserves special recognition.

Is your problem with her that she has called out Israel for Genocide?

No, my problem with her is that she’s a fool.

Early during the lockdowns, I watched a documentary on Netflix about first run Dem campaigns. I had never heard of AOC and was still naive about politics. It was either 3 or 4 with AOC among them. The others stood out for all the sweat and tears involved in a real life campaign. AOC always looked glamorous. When she 'outsmarted' her opponent, I knew the poor old fool had been fed false info to make him look bad. I soon realized I was watching a scripted reality show where the winner was already selected.

Like many campaigns, AOC's seems to have been controlled by the Democrat cabal that recruits and promotes candidates who will be malleable- like Joe Biden. I have absolutely no proof, but I firmly believe that the cabal went to Biden, and told him, "You'll be our candidate, but you do exactly what we tell you to do and say". As this was his third attempt at being a presidential candidate, Biden agreed.

I heard she auditioned. At first I thought it was a snarky joke but I think an operative confirmed that of course people auditioned for the position

To be fair, the saying “Under capitalism, man oppresses man. Under socialism, it’s the other way around” is not original to AOC. It's an old economics joke who's attribution is murky.

As I stated elsewhere the original article stated she "reportedly" made that statement, which is false. I never claimed it was original with her, and the report turns out to be false.

While AOC is *definitely* as dumb as a box of rocks, it's somewhat unfair to call her out for it. The bulk of her colleagues in Congress are no better, regardless of the side of the aisle they call home. We are "ruled" by idiots!

The book advertisement would be more appealing if it did not contain grammatical errors. Yes, some of us still do think that if an individual has created a product yet fails to ensure that the advertisement is readable, it may be that the product is not worth one's time.

Twain would laugh at AOC and be "proud" of her only to the extent that she has abundantly revealed the truth of his homey aphorism.

Also, the description Occasion Cortez may be a faulty presentation of "Occasional Cortex."

What's wrong with New York voters who would support AOC and Bragg? Here in Parker County, Texas Democrats don't even run for office as they have no chance...

Mark Twain exhibited racist views, expressing derogatory remarks about Black individuals.

This article was about AOC. Unfortunately you seem to think it’s a platform for irrelevant racial commentary.

Race remains highly pertinent in contemporary discourse, particularly in light of the viewpoints espoused by right-wing ideologues akin to yourself.

Race is pertinent only when it’s pertinent. Of course, race baiters and leftists see race in everything.

I consider myself an independent voter.

The term "race-baiting" is frequently misapplied, particularly by those who resist honest dialogue about racism in America. During the Obama administration, certain factions on the right co-opted this term to undermine voices within the Black community. Right-wing media outlets like the Drudge Report, Fox News, and National Review often use this language indiscriminately, with Drudge notably chronicling its usage for his audience. Furthermore, even when media outlets don’t explicitly state "race-baiting," they often reference or insinuate it, detracting from important discussions.

Conservatism has a history of being anti-Black; the conservative white Supreme Court asserted in the 1857 Dred Scott Decision that Black individuals had no rights.

The 13th, 14th, and 15th Amendments were made possible by Radical Republicans, not white right-wing conservatives.

The 1877 Plessy vs. Ferguson Decision, which endorsed the "separate but equal" doctrine, was reached by an ultra-right-wing Supreme Court. The Jim Crow era, marked by racial discrimination, persisted for nearly 80 years. Today’s GOP is largely influenced by the remnants of the old Dixiecrats, who were once racist white Democrats.

The 1964 Civil Rights Act, the 1965 Voting Rights Act, and the 1968 Fair Housing Act—measures addressing the implications of the Plessy decision—received little support from white conservatives.

In 2013, a predominantly white conservative Supreme Court, including Clarence Thomas, a conservative Black justice, effectively dismantled key provisions of the Voting Rights Act, fueling racially motivated gerrymandering in red states. Living in the Deep South, I witness ongoing efforts to dilute the Black vote, a reaction to Barack Obama’s historic election and reelection as the first Black President.

The MAGA movement seeks to restore a predominately white America, with projections indicating that whites will become a minority by 2043. This reality causes segments of the white population and buffer class to accept authoritarian leaders like Donald Trump, despite his significant flaws.

Under the Heritage Foundation's Project 2025, Trump and his associates aim to fundamentally reshape the American government, posing a threat to democracy. The civil rights laws established in the 1960s fostered genuine democracy, and the risk of reverting to Jim Crow looms if these rights are stripped away.

Is this "race-baiting" nonsense?

You should do some legitimate research. Trump has disavowed any involvement or acceptance of Project 2025. There are other numerous flaws in your statement but you will disagree with whatever I post, so I’ll leave it at Merry Christmas.

I kindly ask that you avoid personal attacks and focus instead on my specific arguments, supported by empirical evidence and verified facts.

Donald Trump has a documented history of deceptive behavior. I have previously interviewed and assessed convicted felons and narcissists who display similar traits for prison incarceration. Trump ran for the presidency to escape prison incarceration and additional prosecution for serious crimes.

Furthermore, I contend that Christianity contains elements of chauvinism and violence, as evidenced by historical events such as the European Doctrine of Discovery. 80 percent of white evangelicals supporting Trump (a very flawed character) is very troubling.

Autocracy is desperation.

Best bet for a source for that seems to be J.K Galbraith:

Seems to be a fairly durable and commonly-known perception and sentiment. Probably why I and few others wondered about its source — AOC may well have quoted it without proper attribution.

But, ICYMI, another quip in the same vein by noted ant-expert E.O. Wilson on Marxism:
